Right about the time that I was posting about a new PS3, Yuzo and Tobin announced that the next episode of NoobToob would be their last. Tobin just got a new job on the east coast, and the move is going a lot faster than they initially anticipated. I always knew that the should would eventually end, but I never thought it would happen so quickly.
This show was the catalyst that shifted my interest from tabletop games to video games, and opened my eyes to a world of gaming that I never new before. Here’s just a small list of games that I never would have played had it not been for this show:
- Braid
- Geometry Wars
- Castle Crashers
- A Kingdom for Keflings
- Portal
- Team Fortress II
- ANY Katamari game
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Ico
- Okami
- God Hand
- Viewtiful Joe.
In addition to never playing those fantastic games, I never would have participated in the MMO Invasions of:
- Dungeons and Dragons Online
- Tabula Rasa
- City of Heroes
- Runes of Magic
- Eve Online
- Dungeon Fighters
- Lord of the Rings Online
- Ragnarok Online
On top of all of that, I never would have met the most amazing community of gamers in the world.
Thank you Yuzo and Tobin, for bringing this community together. You’ve changed my life for the better, and I’ll always appreciate it.
