This is an entry for the A to Z Challenge (see the sidebar for more information).  These are just some of my initial impressions on the Steam, GOG, and other online games throughout the month.  It is not as much of a review as it is a summary of my feelings on the game.

I decided, once again, to cheat for one of my game selections and go with a free flash game.  Today, I’m going to talk about QWOP.

QWOP is the first of the FODDY.net games that I ever came across.  it was recommended in one of the late episodes of NoobToob, and it’s quite enjoyable.

In QWOP, your task is simple: have your character run 100 meters.  Unfortunately, the act of running is not as simple as it sounds, especially when you have complete control of the character.  Of course, by “complete control” I mean that you have separate buttons controlling each of the character’s thighs and calves.

That’s really about all I can say about it.  The rest you will have to experience on your own.  But I would say this: let your first experience with QWOP be in front of friends.  The failure that you will (not could, but WILL) experience is a lot more fun when it is shared with others.
