I’ve thought for a while that I would like to see more uses of the Guitar Hero guitar in non-rhythm games. Part of me always liked the idea of using the guitar in a Bard’s Tale or Brutal Legend type of game, but I could never figure out how it would work.
Fortunately, Twenty Four Caret Games figured out a unique approach to using the controller. Check it out:
I had the chance to play this at PAX and it was amazing. The mind bend that comes with needing to hit the notes coming from the right while dodging the circles coming from the left was amazing. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as I played the game; it was simply breathtaking. I think this game is going to make it worth my while to get the Guitar for the PS3.
