I arrived in town a little early for PAX. the flight in was…well, a flight. As flights go, it wasn’t that bad; I was able to get a row of my own in the back of the plane. I didn’t get much of a chance to enjoy it, though, as I found myself sleeping most of the time. I had intended to work on schoolwork for the fall semester, but after only getting one hour of sleep before driving to the airport, I found myself unable to stay awake.
I arrived a few days before PAX to visit with family. I was pleased to see that they were doing well. Like last year, my brother-in-law and nephew are going to join me for the last day of the show. After visiting, I gave them their Sunday passes so that we could meet up later.
I hadn’t planned out my schedule with the other noobtoobers, so it was fortunate that I arrived at the hotel at exactly the moment when they were checking in at the lobby. The emotional upwelling that overcame me as I saw these friends was wonderful.
Time to enjoy the show…
