I’m starting to appreciate how rarely Yuzo and Tobin complete a game. I’ve given up on Darksiders, as it isn’t really keeping my interest. It’s not that it wasn’t a good game; if it had been created before God of War, I would have chewed through it and remembered it…well…the way I did with God of War! It’s just that I want to play other games, and it is taking too much time.
Lately, my free time has only been available in small chunks, and I’m finding that I tend to like “pick up” games right now. I’ve been playing a lot of Duels of the Planeswalkers, Geometry Wars, Pac-Man CE, and Magic via Magic Workstation. Maybe I’ll get time to work on a single, long game after the semester is over next week. Probably not.
On the bright side, this gives me a chance to make good on the “play it forward” promise I made at PAX. I’m sending Darksiders and Mini-Ninjas off to some fellow noobtoobers. If they do the same with their games, and those gamers do the same, and so on…well you’ve seen the movie, and if you haven’t, you really should.
